Grocery Cart Agent

Last updated 2026-09-10

Grocery Cart Agent fills your cart on the grocery retailer's own site using your own, already-signed-in session in your browser. It never checks out or pays for you — you review every item before you pay, same as if you'd added it yourself.

What this extension does

You write a shopping list in the Grocery Cart Agent app. This extension reads that list, searches for each item on a supported grocery retailer's site — DoorDash today, with more retailers planned — and adds the closest match to your cart on whichever one you have open, one item at a time, at a human-like pace, with a short pause before each add so you can skip anything you don't want.

What data is involved

Account email Used to sign you in and match your shopping lists to you. Stored by Amazon Cognito, not by this extension.
Shopping list items The item names and quantities you send from the app. Sent to our backend to look up while a run is active; not sold or shared.
Retailer page content Product names and prices are read from the supported retailer's page you have open, only to find the right item — never sent anywhere except our backend's matching step.
Run progress What was added, skipped, or not found — kept only until you dismiss the finished run, then deleted from local storage.

What this extension does not do

Where data is stored

Your account and shopping lists live in an AWS backend (Cognito for sign-in, DynamoDB for lists) that only this extension and the Grocery Cart Agent app can reach, using your own sign-in token. Run progress and your sign-in token are kept in this browser's local extension storage — never synced to Google or any other party.
